Olutobi.com is a platform designed to support others on their journey to career and business success. I recognized the importance of continuous learning and the impact of shared knowledge. By providing valuable content across various categories—such as self-help, personal finance, leadership, startups, and career paths—I hope to create a resource that inspires growth and empowers individuals to reach their full potential.

My Background

At university, I was a member of the faculty’s editorial team for several years and eventually became senior editor and deputy editor-in-chief in my final year. Although I studied pharmacy, I ventured into the fashion industry in 2014, working as an art director; and between that time and 2019, I produced more than 10 digital fashion catalogues and worked with several fashion designers in Nigeria.

Working in fashion was an itch I needed to scratch. I knew it wasn’t going to be long-term but it helped me build project and client management skills early.

I was also particularly fond of magazines like True Love West Africa and The Oprah Magazine. Reading these magazines introduced me to the concept of self-development, which inspired me to create my magazine. In 2015, I began publishing a magazine and distributed it to my email contacts. However, as internet access grew, I transitioned to a website in 2021. Initially, I focused on self-improvement but decided to shift my focus to management which aligned better with my skills and experiences.

Masters In Business Administration – Entrepreneurship

In 2016, I enrolled in an MBA program and focused on entrepreneurship. My goal was not to become an entrepreneur but to apply the skills to my corporate job. The concepts I learned—innovation, strategic thinking, problem-solving, marketing, and leadership—proved invaluable in my position as a regulatory affairs project manager for a large distribution company. My success in that position and others after have relied on applying management concepts to the workplace. So, that experience has led me here; olutobi.com
